Sri Lanka’s clinical investigators at the level of specialist consultants have all undergone mandatory training at centers of excellence overseas and possess internationally recognized qualifications. They have good exposure to clinical research (although not so with industry sponsored trials) with GCP training during a 4-6 year period of supervised development. These investigators have excellent publication records and data generated by them is accepted by all major conferences and scientific journals.

Local postgraduate medical degrees recognized by the GMC, UK

Mandatory overseas training at centres of excellence (usually in the UK & Australia) for board-certification as specialists

Most specialist doctors - in all major and sub-specialties - highly trained and possess overseas postgraduate degrees
