Streamlined trials in Cardiovascular Diseases
• Appropriate decision making requires information on benefits and risks of clinical interventions.
• Decisions made without reliable evidence (either because relevant trials have never been performed or because those that have been performed were poorly designed or conducted) may cause harm
• We need clinical trials but we need to make them easy to do and as informative as possible
