SUCCESS STORY OF CONTAINMENT OF KANDAKADU AND RAJANKANAYA CLUSTERS
“Tracing of contacts is being carried out meticulously. It may be difficult to find all the buses on which the female staffer from Nattandiya travelled as we have to go by her memory but fortunately, she had worn a face mask throughout. Her family members and others she came into contact with are being quarantined either at a centre or in their homes,”

“The super-spreader activity could have been curtailed had the staffer from the Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre in Kandakadu that returned to Rajanganaya on holiday followed the Covid-19 prevention health guidelines that were communicated throughout these months. The non-adherence to such guidelines has then risked the health and wellbeing of persons and children who attended the said patient’s family funeral and the alms giving later on. This is a very good example that the Covid-19 virus is very much present and that the country is still at risk of having grave impacts due to non-adherence to health and precaution guidelines,”
