Re-opening of Schools in Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan Ministry of Education has decided to re-open schools for the whole country including the Colombo district after the New Year holidays on 19th April 2021. During the New Year season most of the residents in Colombo, the district most affected by COVID, travels to their home towns to celebrate the New Year with their extended family. This could pose a huge threat of spreading of COVID -19 in the country. It is mandatory that the school management stick with the current health guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease and to avoid emergence of a third wave in Sri Lanka.
