Large, well-equipped, tertiary-care hospitals compatible with those in developed countries with all major and subspecialties. Main function of these tertiary care hospitals is to provide curative services. Being attached to medical schools of Sri Lanka, these hospitals provide trainings to medical students in their last years of medical school and these hospitals provide free of charge services at the point of delivery.
